This Cookie Policy explains how dev4u (“dev4u”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites dev4u.ai and dev4u.co.il (the “Sites”). It also explains your choices about these technologies. dev4u is a digital agency offering business automation, custom tools and CRMs, PPC and affiliate marketing, AI services and consulting, and also runs dev4u Academy (online courses).

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes in more detail how we handle personal data.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owner. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage; in this policy we refer to all of these simply as “cookies”.

Cookies may be set by us (“first-party cookies”) or by third parties whose services we use, such as advertising and analytics providers (“third-party cookies”). Cookies can also be “session” cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.

How we use cookies

By default, the Sites use essential cookies only. We load advertising and analytics cookies only after you give your consent through our cookie-consent banner. We use cookies for the following purposes.

Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Sites to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include cookies that keep the Sites secure and available and that remember your cookie-consent choice. The Sites are served through Cloudflare, which may set essential cookies to protect against malicious traffic, balance load and keep the service running. Because these cookies are strictly necessary, they do not require your consent.

Analytics cookies

With your consent, we use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the Sites — for example, which pages are visited and how people arrive at our Sites. This helps us measure and improve our content and services. These cookies may be set by Google (Google Analytics) and Meta.

Advertising cookies

With your consent, we use advertising cookies set by Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). These cookies help us show relevant ads, measure how our advertising campaigns perform, and avoid showing you the same ad repeatedly. They may be used to build a profile of your interests and to show you ads on other sites.

The cookie-consent banner

When you first visit a Site, you will see a cookie-consent banner. Essential cookies are active by default because the Sites cannot work without them. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are not set until you accept them. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time (see “Managing your cookies” below).

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services on our behalf. When enabled with your consent, these may include:

  • Google — Google Ads and Google Analytics, for advertising and analytics.
  • Meta — the Meta pixel and related tools, for advertising and analytics across Facebook and Instagram.
  • Cloudflare — essential cookies for security, performance and reliability.

These third parties set cookies under their own privacy and cookie policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they use your data.

What data the Sites collect

Separately from cookies, our Sites include a contact and lead form. When you submit it, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, company name (optional), the service you select, and your free-text message, together with the page the form was submitted from. This information is stored in a Supabase database hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use it to respond to your enquiry and to provide the services you request. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

Managing your cookies

You can manage cookies in the following ways:

  • Consent banner: use the cookie-consent banner on the Sites to accept or decline non-essential cookies, or to update your choice later.
  • Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Sites from working correctly.
  • Third-party opt-outs: you can manage advertising preferences directly with Google (Google Ads settings) and Meta (ad preferences in your account).

Your rights under the GDPR (EU/EEA visitors)

If you are located in the European Union or the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you rights over your personal data. Where we set non-essential cookies, our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For other processing, our legal basis may be our legitimate interests or the performance of a contract with you.

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — ask whether we hold personal data about you and obtain a copy.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability — receive certain data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including profiling for advertising.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for cookies at any time, without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work or where you believe an issue has occurred.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and our Privacy Policy, including to respond to your enquiry, provide our services, and meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them; expiry periods vary by cookie and provider.

Jurisdiction

The Sites are operated from Israel, and this policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel. For visitors in the EU/EEA, we also address the rights and obligations set out under the GDPR, as described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law or our practices. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please review this page periodically to stay informed.
