Who we are

dev4u is a digital agency. We provide business automation, custom tools and CRMs, PPC and affiliate marketing, AI services, and consulting. We also run dev4u Academy, our online course platform.

This page applies to our websites dev4u.ai and dev4u.co.il. For the purpose of data protection law, dev4u is the data controller for the personal data described here.

If you have any question about your data or want to exercise any of your rights, contact us by email at [email protected]. We handle all privacy and data requests through this address.

What data we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. The main way we collect personal data is through the contact and lead form on our site. When you submit that form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company name (optional)
  • The service you selected
  • The free-text message you write
  • The page on our site you submitted the form from

We also process limited technical data that is needed to run and protect the website, such as the data your browser sends when it loads a page. If you give consent to advertising and analytics cookies, we also process the data described in the cookies section below.

Why we use your data and our legal basis

Under the GDPR we must have a valid legal basis for each use of your personal data. We rely on the following:

  • To respond to you and discuss our services. When you send us a form, we use your details to reply, answer questions, and prepare a possible proposal. Our legal basis is the steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • To deliver our services. If you become a client, we use your data to carry out the work and manage the relationship. Our legal basis is performance of our contract with you.
  • To run and secure the website. We process technical data to keep the site available, prevent abuse, and fix problems. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in a safe, working website.
  • Advertising and analytics. We only set advertising and analytics cookies after you consent. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To meet legal obligations. We may keep certain records where the law requires it. Our legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation.

Cookies and tracking

By default we only use essential cookies. These are needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. They do not track you for advertising.

We may also run Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising and analytics. These tools set cookies and similar technologies that can be used to measure campaigns and show you relevant ads. We only load them after you give consent.

When you first visit, we show a cookie-consent banner so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the banner or your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.

Where your data is stored and who processes it

We use trusted service providers to run our website and store data. They act as our processors and may only handle your data on our instructions. They include:

  • Supabase, which hosts the database where form submissions are stored. The database runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
  • Cloudflare, which delivers and protects our website.
  • Google and Meta, where you consent to advertising and analytics cookies.

International transfers

Some of our providers store or process data outside Israel and outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred to another country, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, so that your data stays protected. You can ask us for more detail using the contact email above.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and then we delete it or make it anonymous.

  • Lead and contact form data is kept while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can follow up.
  • Client data is kept for the duration of our work together and for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting, and tax requirements.
  • Cookie and analytics data is kept according to the retention set in each tool, and only while your consent is active.

If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless we are required to keep some of it by law.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights over your personal data. These rights are not absolute and some only apply in certain situations.

  • Right of access. You can ask us whether we hold data about you and get a copy of it.
  • Right to rectification. You can ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Right to erasure. You can ask us to delete your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it.
  • Right to restriction. You can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain cases.
  • Right to data portability. You can ask for the data you gave us in a structured, common, machine-readable format, and to have it sent to another provider where this is technically possible.
  • Right to object. You can object to us using your data for our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
  • Right to withdraw consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful use.

How to exercise your rights

To use any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before we act. We aim to respond within one month, and we will not charge you for a normal request.

Right to complain

If you are in the EU or EEA and you think we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. We would still appreciate the chance to address your concern first, so please feel free to contact us.

Jurisdiction

dev4u is based in Israel, and our handling of personal data is subject to Israeli law. We also aim to respect the GDPR for visitors in the EU and EEA, as set out on this page. Where both apply, we follow the standard that gives you stronger protection.

Changes to this page

We may update this page from time to time as our services or the law change. When we do, we will update the date at the top. Please check back so you stay informed.
